Baader 1.25 inch U Filter (Venus and Ultraviolet): Baader 1.25 inch U Filter is ideal for amateurs to record structures on Venus and enables photography. The solar Calcium K-line is also within the pass band of this filter which allows recording flare structures on the solar disk or edges.
This baader filter features higher transmission in 300nm to 400nm and improved out of band blocking with a peak transmission of 80%. The Baader Venus filter is only applicable for imaging of Venus with webcam, Digital and CCD cameras. The special threading has been designed to fit the wide variety of eyepieces and accessories. The front crown of the filter incorporates milled notches which make handling and threading the filter a more secure operation in the dark.
