Baader 200mm 3.8 OD Digital Solar Filter is a lightweight and thin solar filter
with Photo-Film OD 3.8 which is specially designed for telescopes. Solar filter
helps to block the access the light and heat from entering into your telescope
which can damage the optics or hurting your vision. This Solar filter provides a
professional and secure solution for digital imaging the Sun using astrosolar
safety film. No tool mounting and adjustment of the catering bolts to fit a wide
variety of mechanical tube diameters. It clear white IR-rejecting front ring
with reinforcing raised edges along the outer and inner circumference. This is
suitable for high resolution and high magnification application over a wide
range of temperature conditions. Many ready made filters do stretch the filter
material like a drumhead in order to make it look like a piece of glass but this
absolutely does destroy the image quality, rendering the film useless for high
magnification work. AstroSolar must be mounted entirely stress free in order to
perform like a high precision planeoptical window.
