The Baader Classic Ortho 6mm HT-Multicoated Eyepiece is a compact, lightweight, durable and stylish designed eyepiece which is the paramount eyepiece for the planetary observer. Working in close association with Zeiss, Baader Planetarium has acquired an in-depth knowledge of their eyepiece and optic design and production techniques. Its high grade HT-multicoated optics enhances light intensity and produce extremely sharp and contrast rich image.
Baader uses a broadband multilayer coating on all of the optical surfaces and increases contrast, purity of color while minimizing ghost imaging but diminishing reflectivity from each air-to-glass surface. This Baader Classic Orthoscopic Telescope Eyepiece has a 6mm focal length and has a wide field of view of 50º helps to find and observe objects very easily at high powers and magnifications. With Fine machine quality also increase light transmission and reduce glare or reflectivity. Each Baader Orthoscopic is threaded to accept 1.25" filters. It’s integrated winged folding rubber eyecups, eliminates distracting stray side-light as well as providing a thermally insulating and soft non-scratching top surface.
