This spotting scope is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, camping, sport watching and even surveillance. This Barr and Stroud Spotting Scopes is rubber armored which protects from accidental scratches.
With its large 80mm objective lens made-up of BAK-4 prism, this scope ensures high quality view. BAK-4 prisms are made of superior optical glass that produces clear and vivid images. Fully multi coated optics means that all of its air to glass surfaces have received multiple layers of anti-reflective coatings.
This scope is water and fog proof (nitrogen filled) thus it is durable in high humid conditions. With the included sunshade which slides over the objective lens, it blocks the UV rays. The Barr and Stroud Spotting Scope comes with a 20-60x zoom eyepiece which itself delivers sharp images at long and short range while offering plenty of flexibility. The field of view at 1000 meter ranges from 29.6m at the 20x magnification and ranges to 15 meter at 60x magnification. This spotting scope has the ability to be mounted on a tripod which increases an ease of use as well.

I ordered this Scope on Sunday 11 November and received it at 12:30 on Tuesday 13 November - excellent service by any standard.
The scope itself is excellent; easy to set up with convenient access to focussing. It is well constructed and the protective case ensures that it remains clean and dry when in use out of doors.
Images are clear and crisp and I am very well pleased with it.
