It is waterproof to a depth 1.5m of water for three minutes, plenty of time to retrieve them if you have dropped them in a stream or puddle. The super smooth focus control wheel makes the use of binocular easier and faster. The position of dioptric adjustment is just behind the main focus wheel. This makes it easy to use a single finger to use both focus wheel and dioptre adjustment.
The body is purged with Nitrogen gase to make it fog proof and can be used and harsh weather conditions. The outer boday surface is rubber armoured to make it slip proof.
