The Sahara range from Barr & Stroud feature rugged construction combined with brilliant optics. They are waterproof to a depth 1.5m of water for three minutes, plenty of time to retrieve them if you have dropped them in a stream or puddle.
It incorporates super smooth focus control wheel. The body rubber armoured which protects it from shocks and knocks.
The binoculars are filled with nitrogen gas which keeps water out and also stops the optics suffering from internal fogging in adverse weather conditions.
Optics are Fully Multi Coated. This ensures that as much light as possible is transmitted through the optics which results in a super bright contrast rich images for the user even in low light conditions where less expensive optics and coatings result in a dramatic loss of performance.

Very Impressed with the quality and finish of the binoculars. Nice weight, excellent focusing, very precise, with little effort required to move from close to far focus. As a spectacle wearer I have found the twist cups for exit pupil management very practical, rather than fold down cups. Only gripe, the adjuster buckle on the case is an under designed fitting which is now an ornament ! A few more pence could have saved me some frustration. and very competative price, along with spot on delivery service.
