Benro A1692TB0S Travel Angel II Twist Lock Aluminium Short Tripod Kit

I first noticed Benro Tripods when I was abroad and I needed a tripod for a special job. I was impressed with the quality then so when I was looking for a replacement compact tripod recently I went looking for Benro in the UK. Microblobe offered a comprehensive stock at competitive prices and the short version of the A1692 Travel Angel II has not been a disappointment. Like my Manfrotto MKC3-P02 it satisfys the brief for a compact relatively lightweight portable tripod that is easily packed and carried but unlike the Manfrotto it provides a sturdy and stable platform for a large DSLR in fairness to the Manfrotto it was not really intended for large cameras but was the only quality tripod I could find at the time that was compact enough . The quality and attention to detail of the Travel Angel were as expected: It fits the supplied case with the head attached is versatile and gives a feeling of confidence. I think the monopod facility will be of use and I like the provision of separate drag and lock knobs on the ball head. As I take quite a lot of panoramas I also like the graduated panning index and built-in bubble level. As supplied the Benro A1692 short is a complete and practical travel kit which I think will become a favourite. Ordering from Microglobe was easy and the delivery process was efficient and predicatable with plenty of advance warning of dates first and then finally the 2-hour time slot.
