CCD monochrome camera is highly recommended for planetary imaging. Very easy to mount and remove. 12-bit or 16-bit output provides higher dynamic range than standard planetary cameras. The CCDs provide no-compromise performance, especially towards the red spectrum. Well suited to use with long focal length telescopes like the Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD. The Celestron 1.25" filters works with Celestron CCD cameras and Celestron Skyris filter wheel. The filters are best choice for lunar and planetary observations. The filter set contains luminance, red, green and blue filters. Red filter enhance views of Mars, especially the ice caps, and cloud formations on Jupiter. The Luminance filter eliminates all wavelengths except for Red, Blue, and Green, to provide a bright image with all colours expressed. Green filter is well suited for astronomy that increase the contrast on the lighter areas of Jupiter and enhance the polar regions of Saturn and Mars. Blue filter is great for lunar and general observations. The filters are dichroic coated that allows more than 92% visible light spectrum to pass through them, while blocking the IR rays. Therefore the images are sharp with details. The filters are multi coated to enhance the light transmission and reduce the flare from the surfaces. |

The filter wheel is an advance design with high quality mechanics that holds up to 5 filters of 1.25" diameter for a verity of uses. The filter wheel can be connected to any Celestron telescope with eye piece and camera with help of T-thread and C- thread adapters provided with the filter wheel. The Skyris filter wheel allows simple and trouble free operation by holding 5 filters that can be changed by a little push with fingers without looking at the wheel. The filter wheel is compatible with Skyris monochrome CCD cameras for recording the evidences. |
