Baader Giant Mark V
Zeiss-Brobfeld Binocular Viewer |
|
The Baader Giant Binocular Viewer Mark V that is also known as the
Zeiss-Brobfeld Binoviewer or Zeiss-Widefield Binoviewer is the best
binocular viewer available in market. The binocular viewer can achieve
focus on any type of Refractor or Newtonian telescopes. The compensators
are a proprietary design by Carl Zeiss and AstroPhysics and help correct
aberrations that are inherent in binocular viewers, in addition to this
correction, they also help reduce the amount of back focus needed.
|
The dielectric coating of the prisms increases throughput by 8.9% from
previous models. The coatings were carefully matched to the index of the
glass used for the prisms. This is especially important for night vision
observations.
The front T-threaded ring enables the Giant Binocular Viewer to fit all
existing telescope makes with the shortest possible path length
possible, and through the T-2 Astro System there is a multitude of
accessories and fittings to be attached. |

The ClickLock mechanism grips eyepiece firmly
using a 3-point contact that accurately centers each eyepiece. Diopter
Adjustment is provided to achieve perfect focus for each eye with the
silky smooth microfocusing collar.
The Baader T-2 Mirror Diagonal features durable, 99% reflective
Maxbright dielectric coatings. Its compact size allows the shortest
possible light path. |
Interocular Separation Adjustment offers
interocular distance adjustment that can be adjusted from 55mm to 75mm.
The removable 1.25x Compensating optical element eliminates the slight
color error and spherical aberration. It allows wide-field, low-power
views of deep-sky objects, as well as high powers. All the elements are
7 layered coated for optimal performance. |
