The Baader motorfocus allows precise remote operation of the Steeltrack focuser. The motorfocus is a temperature compensating Motor Drive for Baader SteelTrack Focuser with standalone focus control via PC or USB with ASCOM-driver, and/or with LVI SmartGuider 2. |

The Steeldrive adapts quick and solidly to the focuser using a dovetail clamp. The motorfocuser fits to all Baader Steeltrack focusers. To keep the lower posible weight and for straight of the art operation, the transmission is performed by a belt system. |

Mounting the Steeldrive on the Baader Steeltrack focuser for newtonians, a 19mm extension is needed between the focuser and the connection to the tube. With motorfocus, the manual focuser functions remain fully accessible. The Baader motorfocus allows focusing resolution of 2.3 micron with absolute positioning. The stepper motor offers high torque / low power consumption and can lift 3 kg load with 3 AA cells or with USB power. |
