Sekonic L308s Light meter Exposure Meter Flashmate delivers precise exposure readings in complete, half, or third-stop rise to mirror the exposure exhibits of most popular cameras. When set to full-stop mode, exposures are displayed in tenth-stop increments with a repeat accuracy of +/- 0.1 EV.
Reflected readings capture at a light receiving angle of about 40-degrees, or somewhat broader than the viewing field of a ordinary lens. For incident readings, a small, built-in Lumi-sphere slides over the silicon diode sensor. For flat-field incident readings, a Lumi-disc snaps over the sensor for metering flat artwork or measuring contrast and/or exposure ratios within a scene.
With 1/10th of a stop measurement and read out, accurate and reliable exposures are a snap for D-SLRs or point and shoot digital cameras. The LCD screen shows information such as ISO, measuring approaches and particular settings in an effortless to read layout for quick measurements. A built-in Lumisphere provides a quick switch from incident to reflected light measurements and a Lumidisc offers precise contrast and brightness measurements.
