This is a seriously good piece of kit! I bought this after having an experience in France last year where I parked my motorbike in a large town, walked off, then promptly got lost despite my best efforts to remember landmarks. Took me about an hour to find the bike again!!
After testing the Backtracker, it's exactly what I'm looking for. Lock in the location of your vehicle, turn it off, then when you're ready to return switch it back on and follow the pointer. The display tells you how far you are (as the crow flies) from your locked location and will take you back without any hassle.
