This B+W 77mm German made circular Polarise SC Filter is constructed from high quality Schott glass for colour fidelity and optical clarity. This filter features a brass ring for jamming retardation and durability. This filter is vacuum coated with one layer of anti-reflection coating per side to help arrest reflections and internal ghosting as well as to improve light transmission about 92%. This will help in production of more saturated, sharp and vivid colours. Strongest effects are imposed when used at a 90° from the sun. This filter helps to prevent the glare and reflections by filtering out the sun light that becomes polarised due to reflection from non-metallic surface. The electrons in the air molecules become partially polarized due to its reflection with the sun rays, causing sun light to scatter into a hazy appearance. This directionally polarised light is filtered perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections and an increase in the saturation of skies. This filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarised light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. The only difference between the circular and linear polarising filters is that the linear polariser filter contains a quarter wave-plane in addition to linear polarising filter. This addition is to circularly polarise the linear polarised light for the use of exposure and auto focus functions. Due to this setup light is broken down and is filtered with a leaner polariser which helps in exposure and auto focus accuracy. These functions can be performed only when the light rays are circularly polarised.
