The EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens delivers high image quality from the centre to the periphery to its advanced lens configuration including an aspherical element, a fast bright f/1.8 maximum aperture which allows you to shoot under low light conditions. The optimized coatings used in constructing the lens greatly reduce ghosting and flare, and deliver superb colour balance. It is incorporating with Canon STM stepping-motor technology for quiet, smooth and accurate focus operation. The Canon 50mm f/1.8 is great for capturing sharp photos that stand out whilst providing a professional and natural looking background blur. The seven rounded diaphragm blades further contribute to a pleasing out of focus quality with shallow depth of field imagery. The exterior design features a metal lens mount for durability as well as re-located focusing ring to maintain a compact form factor.
