This is specially to avoid harsh shadow behind your subjects using direct flashgun exposures. In this way you can get rid of the shadow.
This Canon accessory helps you to connect the Canon Speedliteflash unit on one end of the TTL cord and the other end of it will be mounted to Hot Shoe unit of E OS camera. The cord can be stretch to up to 70cm long and away from the camera in any shooting degrees you wish to point the flashgun towards your subject.
It comes with a tripod socket at one end where the Canon Speedlite flash is attached. This allows the flashgun to be locked onto a tripod. This helps to free your hands from holding the off-camera flashgun.
