Celestron NexImage 10 Solar System Colour Eyepiece Imager captures high resolution images of solar, lunar and planetary objects. The NexImage 10 Imager contains 10MP high resolution colour CMOS sensor that can be connected to a computer via standard USB cable and supporting software. NexImage 10 Imager can bring out tremendous detail and produce high quality sharp images.
It features anti-reflection multi-coatings with IR-block on cover glass. The imager can view and capture live video on the computer. The provided software analyzes each frame of video, throws away the unclear ones and perfectly aligns the rest of the images. With the help of super-small 1.67µm pixels, smaller telescopes with shorter focal lengths are still going to yield tremendous planetary detail.
The NexImage 10 uses 3.0 USB SuperSpeed connections for ultra high speed data transfer. The NexImage Imager is compatible with most of the telescopes with 1.25” diameter and accepts standard 1.25” eyepiece filters. The Camera body has integrated C-threads for direct threaded connection to telescope. The provided software allows manually change the gain, contrast, exposure time, frame rate and colour saturation using computer. NexImage 10 is a great way to get started with astroimaging, especially if you live in a light-polluted area.
