Dorr Danubia Merkur 60A Refractor Astro Telescope is ideal for enthusiasts, who are looking for a good all round telescope with a large focal length. It use an objective lens to bend the light through to the eyepiece using a focal point to display the image. The Danubia Merkur kit has an adjustable aluminium tripod which makes it easy to use and the 5x24 finder scope, three eyepieces, a 2 x Barlow lens give plenty of scope for magnifying images and the erecting eyepiece that comes with the telescope, makes sure that the image remains the right way up when viewing the night sky. The Merkur Kit also has a moon filter that is really useful when looking at a full moon, when the night sky is crystal clear.

It boasts a terrific 45-454x magnification which can be expanded using a range of accessories which are sold separately, which makes this Danubia telescope the benchmark for amateur stargazers. The 1.25inch accessory mount, is a universal size, so can take numerous accessories for easier viewing and more extensive use. The Merkur is compact enough to leave assembled at home, but can also be easily transported to other vantage points, making it very versatile. The telescope will easily pick up larger craters on the moon's surface, 2 oe 3 red cloud belts of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. Single and double stars are also visible and Andromeda can be seen depending on light pollution and atmospheric conditions.
