The Fujifilm FinePix F770 EXR Red digital camera is the top of the range travel
zoom from Fujifilm, and features a 20x optical zoom lens, 16.1 megapixel backlit
EXR CMOS sensor, 3inch screen, built in GPS and compass in the camera.
Fujifilm's unique EXR-CMOS sensor has evolved even further. The EXR Auto, which
automatically optimizes settings according to scene types, has now been expanded
to offer 103 different shooting patterns. The FinePix F770 EXR uses the better EXR-CMOS sensor, which pushes the camera's low-light capabilities even further.
By re-shaping the photo diodes, the EXR-CMOS sensor displays a 30% reduction in
digital noise over the previous version at high ISO settings.
This new 16-megapixel model somehow shoehorns an even longer 20x optical zoom
(25-500mm equivalent in 35mm terms) into a slender, handbag or pocket friendly
chassis which measures just 24.9mm in depth at its thinnest point. The lens is neatly folded away when not in
use, making the F770EXR eminently pocket able, with overall dimensions of
105.1x63.3x36.0 mm and weighing 234g with the battery and an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory
card inserted.
The Fujifilm FinePix F770 EXR Red Digital Camera features a metal body with a
soft touch coating. The on/off switch is on top of the camera, along with a customisable Function button. A mode dial is on the back and angled for easy
control while holding the camera. There is a dedicated video record button so
you can start recording video regardless of which mode you are in. There is
improved grip on the front of the camera with a good sized rubber area, and an
area of raised rubber dots on the back. There is a manual pop-up flash that is
opened with the button on the left hand side of the camera, to close you simply
press the flash back into the camera.
The FinePix F770EXR has been optimised for faster start-up. Turn the power ON
and the camera is ready to shoot in only 1.5 seconds. In addition, shot-to-shot
time is now a minimum of 0.8 second and the Auto Focus speed has been as little
as 0.16 seconds, helping users lock onto their subjects. The FinePix F770EXR red
digital camera is ready for action when you are. Travelling photographers will
benefit from the FinePix F770EXR's faster and improved GPS functionality
featuring Route Log, where the camera creates an illustrated map showing where
you've travelled and Photo Navigation, where the distance from and direction to
a previous location are displayed.
The FinePix F770EXR features a Landmark Navigator, which behaves in two
different ways according to how the camera is held. The FinePix F770 EXR will
indicate nearby landmarks and the distance the user is away from them. Hold the
camera upright for normal picture taking and you'll see the name of the nearest
landmarks – and the distance to it.
