The filter is well suited to use for outdoor and scenic photography. The UV filter is constructed from optical glass and feature a thin frame. The 8-layer multi-coating reducing flare, ghosting, and reflections on the filter surface for a higher light transmission of 99.35%, resulting in greater contrast and colour fidelity. The UV filter offers no additional coloration or contrast, hence allowing to pair this filter with others. The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. I bought two of these filters. They are well known to be excellent quality but as important the price and quality of service from Microglobe could not be faulted in any way.
