Bought this for my Fujifilm X30. I d never heard of Marumi filters before always used Hoya/Kenko or B+W in the past but research led me here as it s the only CPL that fits the non-standard threads on the X30. It s a perfect fit directly to the lens and the Fujifilm lens cap still fits.
I received the official protector filter/hood/52mm filter adapter with the camera but fitting a 52mm CPL inside the hood seemed a crazy idea how can it be rotated without getting fingerprints on it? .
This works flawlessly as well as my Hoya CPLs with no vignetting at the widest angle and the build quality is as solid as I would expect. Fingerprints are removed easily with a microfibre cloth which is often not the case with lesser quality filters. It is possible to use this with the Fujifilm hood; attach the protector filter to the threads at the front of the Marumi then attach the hood. This is actually quite a nice arrangement as the hood can be used to rotate the CPL.
Microglobe s service was excellent order placed Monday evening filter in my hands Wednesday lunchtime and the price was good too. In short I d thoroughly recommend this particular filter to anybody with an X30 whose looking for a CPL.
Ordered this filter with an Anti UV filter for Fujifilm X10. Both arrived promptly fitted perfectly the UV fitted to the polarising filter and the polarising filter to the lens . The original lens cap cannot be used with either fitted but the filters work well together and the polariser produces great results. These filters make an excellent camera even better. Thanks Microglobe - good clear description on the web site; good price and one of very few stockists of these specialised items designed for this camera s 40mm lens fitting.
