This Metz coiled sync cord extends from 1' to 3', and is designed to
connect a camera with PC (post connection) terminal to Metz 45CL-1,
CL-3, CL-4, CT-3, CT-4 and 60CT-4 flash units or 32 series and 40MZ-2
flashes mounted onto the G-15 and G-16 Power Grip.

This cable connects your metz flash to your camera sync port. There is a non-coiled version available which I believe is a little cheaper but I chose this one because I was concered that the other cable may not stand ou so well to be constantly being folded and unfolded. This cable on the otherhand is designed to spring back into a compact shape and is time consuming and compact. My last one lasted probably at least twenty years so it rates a bargain in my book and it is a darn sight cheaper than buying a new flashgun.
