When used with 35mm format it offers coverage from 25.5 mm to 85.50 mm. The lens is highly desired for architecture_photography, landscape photography, groups and portraitures. Nikon 17-55mm has employs three ED.(Extra Low Dispersion) lens elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and delivers high contrast, superior resolution result.
The lens is also incorporates three a-spherical lenses for reduction of distortion. It has a MF/AF switch converter for convenient swapping of manual to auto and vice versa.
