Customer Reviews on Nikon 8X42 Monarch 7 ED WP Roof Prism Binoculars

I decided to upgrade from a cheaper binocular around £180 af a different brand Focus beceause i had problems with the focusing mechanism and the adjustable eycups.
I have now tried the Monarch 7 on a few birding tours and I am very satisfied.

The optics are exellent and noticable brighter than my old binoculars and with much better contrast. There is a slight curvation of straight lines at the edge of the remarkable large field of view. But you forget all about it when observing in the field. The large field of view is a gift for bird observers.
The mechanical built is very good. The focusing is smooth and reliable without any wobling or slack. The eyecup adjustment feels a little loose: If you press it several times it moves one step inwards. Not relly a problem. I like the separate dioptri adjustment on the Monarchs better than the central adjustment on my old binoculars. The central dioptri adjustment would occationally get out of adjustment by accident beceause the focus wheel got caught when the binocculars were pulled out of a tightly packed backpack.
I am not yet completely comfortable with the eyecup cover feels a little to loose and the front lens cover a little akward to replace but theese are minor details.
Bottom line: Theese binoculars are the perfect choise for my bird watching and my wallet! . Solid built lightweight and compact. The rubber armour feels both comfortable and rugged in the hands. Excellent optics and reliable mechanics. And fast delivery without any problems. Worth every pound. I think a slightly better pair of binoculars would be really expensive.

The binoculars are a good weight and comfortable to hold - the images seen through the lens are impressively sharp and focusing is easy. The binoculars demonstrate Nikon s understated style with subtle positioning of the "Nikon" logo on the body and strap. The binoculars come with a smart black protective carrier which was a pleasant surprise as no reference to it was made in the details advertised. I can fully recommend this product.

Best regards

I had looked at the predecessor to the Nikon Monarch 7 binoculars and was about to buy when the 7 was announce. At that stage I thought the price was too high and have been tracking the prices until I spotted Microglobe Ltd offering them at a very fighting price. I had decided on the 8 x 42 instead of the 10 x 42 as I primary wanted to use the binoculars in woodland and the countryside where I had read the extra light of the 8’s were an advantage my hands are not too steady either when was another factor. Now I have them I am absolutely delighted and have made the right choice well worth the wait.

I placed my ordered lunchtime received an email acknowledgment another email to advise that it was being processed a shipping advice and finally a tracking number all in under 3 hours!
Royal Mail delivered the parcel the next day 24 hours after the order was placed!

Can’t fault anything Microglobe did excellent!
