Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight
Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight Flashgun is a versatile and easy to
use flashgun that it compatible with Nikon FX and DX format SLRs and the Nikon
Creative Lighting System. The SB-5000 speedlight is equipped with a
radio-controlled Advanced Wireless Lighting function and is also equipped with a
cooling system that enables more than 100 continuous full-power flashes. Radio
control makes wireless multiple flash photography easier in situations where
conventional optical control is difficult, such as when remote flash units are
positioned behind objects or at greater distances, or when ambient lighting is
very bright. The SB-5000 is equipped with a cooling system that cools the flash
head. The cooling system has been significantly improved, keeping the flash
panel from overheating and enabling more than 100 continuous flashes. As the
cooling system keeps the Speedlight from overheating, professional and advanced
amateur photographers can enjoy more comfortable and active flash photography.
The SB-5000 AF
Flashgun is fully compatible with Nikon's i-TTL automatic
exposure system found in a majority of their cameras for fast, accurate
operation. Along with this, the radio control implemented in the SB-5000
requires a compatible DSLR using the WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter and WR-R10
Wireless Remote Controller in order to fully realize the power of the system.
This enables the camera and flash to wirelessly control up to 6 groups of
flashes from up to 98' away without requiring any line of sight. It is designed
for photographers who rely on portable lighting, the SB-5000 AF Speedlight is
smaller and easier to use. It has a smaller footprint and provides streamlined
access to frequently used functions such as Flash Mode, Zoom Head Position and
Flash Compensation Value. Like a DSLR camera, the SB-5000 AF Speedlight has an
“Info” button for quick access to settings. It is providing a wide ranging zoom
head of 24-200mm which can be extended down to 14mm with use of the built-in
diffusion panel. The head will also tilt from -7 to +90° and rotate left and
right 180° for complete bounce capabilities.
