The i40 incorporates wireless TTL, rotating head and video shooting capabilities. The i40 came with professional head design that rotates 180 degrees horizontally to the right and left and tilts up 90 degrees for bounce flash applications and close up work etc.
The FlashGun incorporates powerful LED video light and operates with 4AA batteries with run time of 3.5 hours. The LED light intensity can be adjusted with 9 output levels and provides 220 to 1700 flashes on a single set of fully charged batteries.

Product arrived very promptly. Great price. I will be checking Micro globe first for future purchases.
Order processed immediately but flashgun had a cosmetic fault on arrival which made operation difficult. Microglobe replaced it by return post so no problem.

Fujifilm are somewhat remiss in their flasgun offerings so a lot of research led me to this flashgun. I m not a fan of onboard or even hot shoe units but I was going to work in a situation where I would need this as a neccessary evil. Plus points? Everything. Minus points? A very minor niggle is that that the exposure compensation dial is a bit too easily nudged but I soon learned to keep an eye on it. Output is great for a unit so small the batteries take up the the entire body and the zoom head most of the top which makes you wonder where the capacitors and the rest of the electronics are. Recycle times are negligible using Varta Unniversal ACCU 2100mAh Ni-MH batteries.
All this combined with Microglobe s keen prices and lightening fast delivery times I once had a lens delivered before the despatch email arrived gives
This is a great little flashgun but don t kid yourself...It s no SB-910!
The Nissin was the best price on the Microglobe website and I d ordered from them before and was very pleased with the service so it was a no-brainer for me. The flashgun arrived very well packaged a few days after ordering it and everything was fine and in order.
It s a smashing little gun and looks superb on the Fuji X Cameras – mine was on an X Pro-1 and looks like it was made for it. The flash is light but very sturdy and feels solid in the hand. The power output is good for it s size but it s not a patch on a big gun like Nikon s SB-910. Having said that modern cameras are more than capable of great shots at higher ISOs so a smaller guide number at 100ISO isn t that much of a sticking point.
I love the fact that I can throw it in my camera bag and not be impeded by the extra weight or room taken up as it really is small and light. It is very functional and really works very quickly. So far I ve used it on full manual and a little bit of TTL – both worked brilliantly.
You can find lots of reviews on it on the net so I won t go into too much detail here. If you re looking for a portable sturdy flashgun that looks great and works brilliantly with Fuji X cameras then look no further.
