Pentax 18-250mm SMC Lens is an ideal telephoto zoom lens designed
exclusively for Digital SLR cameras. Pentax 18-250mm SMC Lens is a compact,
light weight, ultra zoom lens designed for "Digital Single Lens Reflex [DSLR]"
cameras with APS-C image sensor in mind. Pentax SMC 18-250mm Lens offers a
focal length from 27 mm - 375 mm in 35mm format. It offers highest zoom ration
of 13.6 X ideal for both wide-angle to long telephoto zoom shots. Pentax SMC 18-250mm Lens incorporates a "Low Dispersion" LD glass element, an "AD-Anomalous
Dispersion" lens to reduce on-axis chromatic aberrations. Pentax SMC
18-250mm employs hybrid aspherical lens elements to ensure the requisite
compactness even with 13.9 x zoom power. The lens is finished with "Internal
Surface Coating" aimed to minimise ghost and flare quite often observed with
DSLR cameras. Pentax SMC 18-250mm Lens has zoom lock switch for control of
barrel movement during transportation of lens-camera combination.
