Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro Tele Zoom Lens for Sony is a lightweight and durable lens which is designed for macro photography. It has a 1:2 maximum close-up magnification at the 300 mm focal length. It is an ideal lens for portraitures, sports photography, nature photography, and other types of photography that frequently use the telephoto range. Sigma 70-300mm also has a switch for changeover to macro photography at focal lengths between 200mm and 300mm with a maximum close-up magnification from 1:2.9 to 1:2. The SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass in lens optics group provides excellent correction of chromatic aberration. The multi-layer lens coating and special lens design reduces flare and ghost effect. Sigma 70-300mm Lens has the ability to optimise colour balance by correction of colour aberrations. The SLD glass elements corrects for fluctuation of aberration due to focusing. Sigma 70-300mm DG Macro Lens offers high optical performance throughout the entire zoom range. The Sigma 70-300mm DG APO Lens has a special built-in motor for full functionality of auto-focus with Sony cameras. The optics are designed with new multi layer coating for diminishing flare and ghost, which is a known problem with digital cameras. It is provided with rear caps, lens hood and soft carrying case for safe storage.
