Sigma 85mm F1.4 Art DG HSM Lens is designed to achieve optical performance
and is ideally suited for creative and artistic applications. This short
telephoto 85mm f/1.4 prime lens is designed for full-frame format Sigma SA-mount
cameras and can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide a 127.5mm
equivalent focal length.
The fast f/1.4 maximum aperture is well-suited for working in low-light
conditions and also provides greater control over the focus position when using
shallow depth of field techniques. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm helps to
produce an attractive out-of-focus quality.
Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) the lens offers quick and accurate control over the
artistic effects achieved by the lens high quality elements. The lens works
perfectly with auto focus as well as full time manual cameras, without having to
switch camera modes or change settings but just shifting the switch from AF to
MF. The lens Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and floating inner focusing system ensures
quick, quiet and precise auto focusing.
This features anti-flare super multi layer coatings reduce lens flare, internal
reflections and light scattering that can occur between the surfaces of its
glass elements. This lens incorporates a brass made bayonet mount which has both
high accuracy and durability.
Two SLD elements, one element with a high rate of anomalous partial dispersion
and a high index of refraction and one aspherical element have been incorporated
within the lens design to correct for chromatic aberrations throughout the
entire focusing range and help to ensure high image sharpness and clarity. It is
suitable to use for sorts, landscapes, portraits, arts, group shots and general
use.
