Skywatcher Quattro 8S Dual Speed Imaging Newtonian Telescope is carefully designed for high quality astro-photography with short time exposure. They also are fine telescopes for visual observations. The Quattro 8" tube interiors have knife edge ray traced baffles as well. The linear power focuser utilizes 4 precision ball bearings to support the draw tube and provide great stability and zero image shift while supporting a heavy eyepiece or camera. The dual-speed feature draw tube using rollers rather than rack-and-pinion rollers for a very smooth adjustment. The dual speed has has a second focus knob that has a 10:1 speed reduction to provide the super-fine adjustments. It features High Quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors that eliminate spherical aberrations inherent in 'fast' focal length reflectors with spherical primary mirrors. The mirrors are parabolic to bring all the light rays to the same focal point to give crisp and sharp images. It is provided with the 9x50 finder scope that is designed for accurate and fast object positioning.
