The 1.25” 470nm Light-Blue Filter from Baader is specially created for photographic planetary and visual observations. This 470nm filter helps in observing high clouds on Mars, intensifies the contrast of hazes on the terminator of Mars. It displays darker reddish structures that are ideal for observing the red spot on Jupiter & also shows Saturn rings. Moreover, it highlights the fine details in gas tails produced by comets & monitor the structures in the atmosphere of Venus. This filter is multi-coated to deliver reflection-free images. Also, both sides are 7-layer AR coating with only 0.25% residual reflection per surface. This is the most anti-reflective that has ever been undertaken with colour filters. Additionally, the filter is plane-optically polished to within 30 seconds of arc to deliver a sharp image at high magnification with non-ageing sealed coating edges.
