Baader
1.25 Inch ND-3 Neutral Density Filter is a lightweight and durable Neutral
Density Filter which offers perfect energy management during Lunar and Solar
observation. It is optically polished with Phantom group multi-coated for
maximum output and offers no reflections, stray light and ghosting. Baader's
special filter cell design offers unique features that enhance their reliability
and usability. The ultra-thin filter cell results in the maximum possible clear
aperture, in order to minimize vignetting. It works well virtually any astronomy
eyepiece or accessory that has 1.25 inch filter threads.
The
Neutral Density filter
reduces the overall brightness of an image to cut down glare while viewing
bright astronomical objects through a telescope. Baader balances each dielectric
coating stack to avoid the ghosts and annoying halos that plague other
manufacturer’s filters. Unlike most other filters, Baader filters are truly
designed to be stacked and combined which is possible due to the high optical
quality and highly efficient anti-reflection multi-coatings. The ability to
combine filters opens up many interesting possibilities, permitting unique
spectral characteristics unachievable with any single filter. It retains true
colour balance of the objects being observed since all wavelengths are
transmitted uniformly over the entire spectrum.
