Baader 1.25 inch UV IR Cut L-Filter with Low Profile Filter Cell: Baader 1.25 inch UV IR Cut L-Filter is a high optical quality filter which can stack and used far in front of the focal plane. This filter uses latest coating technology to deliver the finest filtration quality and make it durable. It is mounted in a round 1.25 inch threaded cell. With its extremely sharp cutoff at 690nm it leaves all the visible red and 656nm H-alpha emission line.
It removes the unwanted UV and IR wavelengths from your images by blocking UV below 400nm and IR above 680nm. This filter retains full image resolution even at highest magnification during solar observation or eyepiece projection. Baader filter reflects destructive heat radiation and protects valuable solar observing equipment such as DAYSTAR-Filters and the like from excessive heat-stress.
Due to 7-layer multicoated feature with 0.3% residual reflection and the regular 4.6% of an uncoated substrate it is absolutely scratch resistant. Baader balances each dielectric coating stack to avoid the ghosts and annoying halos that plague other manufacturer’s filters.
