The Baader 2" 570nm Orange Colour Filter is ideal for daytime observation of the Moon, Venus and Mercury. It penetrates the hazy atmosphere of Mars and improves the detection of dark areas of Mars. The baader 570 nm filter shows enhanced details of the cloud bands of Saturn and Jupiter.
The filter features multi-coated glass to reduce the reflections and to avoid the dimming and scattering of the image. This filter is planeoptically polished within 30 sec of arc to avoid ghosting and wedge error of the glass. Along with aluminium mount, it features non-ageing sealed coated edges and 2 mm thick glass. 7-layer of AR coating is applied on both sides of the filter with minimal 0.25% residual reflection per surface.
