You get two eyepieces that provide 5x and 16x magnification with a 2x Barlow lens that doubles each eyepiece's power. A three-position nosepiece holds 4x, 10x, and 40x objectives, and by combining these with the eyepieces and Barlow, you can produce a low 20x power for larger specimens like coins and stamps or dial up the magnification to an astounding 1280x to reveal fine cellular details. To easily document, save, and share your specimens, BRESSER includes a high-definition USB eyepiece camera that connects to a Windows computer running the included software suite.
Dual LED light sources allow you to quickly and easily convert the light from incidental to transmitted and back, so you can view a wide assortment of specimens in quick succession. An independent dimmer and a combination filter wheel and diaphragm make it easy to set the proper light color and transmission for any specimen you're viewing. This microscope runs on three included AA batteries, which makes it perfect for field work.
To get you started, BRESSER includes blank slides, a set of preparation tools including tweezers and a dropper. If you don't want to prepare your own specimens, there is a set of five prepared slides so you can start your microscopy journey immediately. You are also given a complete shrimp hatchery, so you can observe the full life cycle of shrimp. For safe transport and storage, a hard carrying case is provided that holds the microscope and all the included accessories and items, including the eyepiece camera and preparation tools
