The first highlight is the NANO USM system which combines a smooth, silent video-optimized Stepping Motor and a swift, optimised ring-type Ultrasonic Motor for sharp focusing performance and to deliver perfectness to multimedia image-makers. Secondly is the Dual-purpose AF motor to furnish faster performance for best shooting experience. The Image Stabiliser system improves the shake reduction as compared to the previous models for up to 4 stops of shutter speeds.

This improved system offers clearer detail in low-light situations or at lower ISOs and a reliable handheld performance. The new Lens Information Display presents focal length, focusing distance and shake amount. The One UD Lens helps reduce chromatic aberration and delivers outstanding high-resolution and high-contrast results. Another exceptional feature is the One UD Lens which aids to reduce chromatic aberration and offers notable enhance resolution and contrast results.
