The battery is based upon Li-ion technology that store more power and work for longer periods. The battery offers high capacity of 875mAh for long period shooting and playback. It provides extended life and consistent power, even in colder conditions. The Canon LP-E12 is a lithium-ion technology. The battery is designed to resist the memory effect, so the battery continues to last just as long between charges as it did when it was new. The battery is incorporated with good quality compartment to keep the internal circuits safe. It requires LC-E12 battery charger (not included) for recharging the battery. The battery is easy to install and remove from the charger.
