The Celestron's NexStar 102 SLT Maksutov-Cassegrain Computerised Telescope is used to observe precise details of the polar caps on Mars, Venus and its phases, lunar surface, the Jupiter and its four moons and Saturn with its rings visible. It can also be considered to use as a spotting telescope for wildlife observations.

Computerised Altazimuth Mount: The NexStar 102 telescope is equipped with a single fork arm altazimuth mount to enable the ability to track your desired astronomical objects into the pitch-black night sky.

NexStar + Hand Control: This computerized hand control allows you to automatically slew to any of 40,000 celestial objects with just the push of a button. The NexStar+ database exceed to more than 300 clusters, 600 galaxies and dozens of wonderful binary stars. Choose the Sky Tour feature, the NexStar+ hand control will automatically create a list of all the most-desirable celestial objects currently visible based on your exact time and position.

SkyAlign Technology: The proprietary SkyAlign alignment procedure performs setting up using a computerized telescope quicker and easier than ever before. Aim the telescope at three bright objects in the sky, the telescope will triangulate its position and locate any other object in the sky automatically.

Power Requirement: It’s powered by 8xAA batteries or a PowerTank portable battery so feel free to enjoy your NexStar SLT to observe your favourite celestial objects. The internal battery compartment provides power to the high precision servo motors for rigid less-vibration performance and also eliminating cord wrap issues linked with external battery packs. You may also power your telescope with a 12V AC adapter (not included).

This software will help you to study the deep night sky, celestial objects, and how to prepare your next observing session.
