The NexStar 127SLT 127mm f/12 Maksutov-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope from Celestron is built for middle-level (Kids & adults) astronomical observation. It enables the user to make precise and detailed views of the Moon, with the capability to easily see planets and examine distant objects like nebulae, galaxies and binary stars. The design of the telescope corrects off-axis aberrations like chromatic aberrations and comas to deliver images with true colour rendition via the use of a front corrector plate along with a convex lens, which not only reduces the need for periodic collimation but by the nature of the lens expects a smaller secondary mirror to limit obstruction and enhance contrast. Its compact design makes it easy to transport and assemble just about everywhere. Despite its compact design, the GoTo telescope provides enhanced light-gathering ability to experience the solar system in the best way.

The NexStar SLT telescope is equipped with a database of over 4000 objects, including the stars, nebulae, planets, galaxies and the complete Messier catalogue such as the globular cluster in Hercules (M13) or the Great Nebula in Orion (M42), it can also be programmed with up to 99 custom user-defined objects and filters for custom object lists. Features such as guided tours, extended information on 200 popular objects, and multiple alignment options make the NexStar controller easy to use and invaluable to new users and experienced stargazers alike. Its automatic menu-driven user interface offers the power to observe the heights with nine slew speeds (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 1°/sec, 2°/sec, 3°/sec) and three tracking rates and anti-backlash compensation which increase GoTo and tracking accuracy.
