It protect camera lens from scratches, dirt, fingerprints and other damages. This filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colour providing better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. It increase light transmission and provides high contrast and high colour fidelity.
