Hoya 82mm Pro1 Digital Protector Filter is a lightweight and durable filter which is exclusively designed for digital cameras. It is ideal for both indoor as well as outdoor photography. This filter is compatible with lenses that accept 82mm filters. It protects the valuable lenses and its front element from accidental damages and scratches that can be caused from dirt and knocks. The filter will not affect the colour balance or performance of the lens. With non-coated filters, light would reflect off the image sensor, bounce off the lens and filter elements and re-enter the image sensor, producing a ghost image and disturbing the quality of image. To eliminate the ghost effect, the multi-coating is applied that dramatically diminish this effect. An ultra thin filter frames help avoid vignetting on super wide angle lenses are also designed to hold a lens caps. The filter features lightweight black matte aluminium satin finish frame that reduces the reflections. It is equipped with a straight knurling edge for non-slip and can be easily attached and removed.
