Hoya 77mm Pro ND500 Neutral Density Filter is a lightweight, rigid and durable filter which is designed for professional and hobbyist photographers who produce images using SLRs. The filter helps to create a dynamic expression via a long exposure or to prevent blown out highlights caused by over exposure. This is solid neutral density filter that enables a 9-stops increase in exposure. It is designed to reduce the amount of light entering your camera lens and should not have any other effect on the image. The filter with optical density of 2.7 creates a darkening of the entire image and allowing photography with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The filter can reduce the light volume without any changes in hue, allow even a novice photographer who is unfamiliar with slow shutter speed or iris control to make a difference in their pictures. The filter is assembled using a one-piece aluminium frame creating a rigid, durable and lightweight filter while the glass elements are manufactured from super high quality Hoya clear optical glass to ensure edge to edge image clarity. Metallic ACCU-ND type coating is applied to the elements to ensure high light transmission and reduced reflections from the surface. The filter protects front lens surface from scratches, moisture, dirt and other accidental damages. This filter is fit to the lenses that are threaded for 77mm filters.
