A simple and low-cost way to increase the abilities of your lens without the expenditure of purchasing and carrying another telephoto lens, Kenko Teleplus converters are little and easy to carry in your camera bag.
Kenko 2X Teleplus Teleconverter DGX PRO 300 can be used with both built-in motor and coupling type lenses. When using a Digital SLR the equivalent focal length and aperture value of the combined lens and teleconverter will be recorded in the EXIF information. The Kenko DGX converters will also show the efficient focal lengths in your viewfinder, so if you're using the 2x converter on a 200mm lens, a focal length of 400mm will be displayed.
The PRO 300 family are designed for leading telephoto lenses of 100mm or above, but work best with lenses of 200-500mm. The Kenko PRO 300 Teleconverter can as well be used with zoom lenses, but are not suggested for lenses with a zoom range starting below 50mm.
