The Marumi ND 100,000 filter is specifically designed for shooting solar eclipses. The filter cuts light by 16.5 stops so that it is useful for extreme long exposures in normal conditions. Marumi's DHG uses low reflectance coatings on the rear face to reduce flare and reflections from the surface of the lens and the rim of the glass is blackened to prevent internal reflections. The filter also uses thin frame to allow the filters to be used on wide angle lenses without vignetting. The filter is lightweight that is very easy to attach and remove.
