Description - Nikon 10x42 Monarch 5 Binocular (Black): New addition to the Monarch family, the Nikon 10x42 is constructed from fibreglass infused polycarbonate housing that is durable and robust in construct. The body is rubber armoured for shock resistance and a firm, comfortable grip. The binocular incorporated with extra-low dispersion (ED) lens elements that transmit vivid bright images and greater contrast. Phase corrected roof prism are employed for high image quality and slim design. Special dielectric coatings are used in the binocular to align incoming wave lengths of light and offers life like colours. The binocular offers 5 degree angle of view and offers a nine feet closer focus of the object. High eye relief permits a complete view of the field even with eye glasses. The larger objective lens makes the images brighter and contrast. Twist-up rubber eyecups with multiple click-stop positions offer better positioning of the viewer’s eyes. The binocular is nitrogen filled that prevents the internal fogging of the lens surfaces and water proof design permits the use of the binocular in any weather condition.

Delighted with theses binoculars. They are small enough to travel easily but large enough to give an excellent image. Quick focus and comfortable eyepieces. My research indicated that image quality increases rapidly with price up to a point and then you start to have to spend large amounts more to get the last small increases in image quality. These are at the right point on the price quality curve for me - somewhere near where the increase in quality that can be achieved flattens out drastically but way way better than something half the price.
Regarding Microglobe - ordered on a Monday and arrived on Wednesday. was the best price I could find where I was confident they were shipped from UK and not the Far East. Would happily use them again.
