Bought to replace more modern Nikon dx 35mm lens and its now on the front of camera all the time. Build quality really shows well worth the money.
For owners of most Nikon digital cameras a 35mm is the equivalent to a 50mm 'standard' lens on an old film camera. If you're looking for something a bit lighter which is good in low light I'd definitely recommend one, either the AF-D or AF-S version depending on which camera you have.
