Twist eye cup with long eye relief makes it perfect for spectacle wearers and comfortable to use. The zoom range is a very sensible 8-24mm and is very smooth to operate. It is not threaded for filters. Compared to many other lower cost zoom eyepieces the difference in build quality becomes apparent the minute you take it out the box.
Internal baffling is excellent, and cuts down on internal reflection giving higher contrast and a brighter image. This is where some eyepieces fall short. 8-24mm makes it perfect for a wide range of astronomical targets and also ideal for terrestrial use with short tube refractors.
