Pextax 12.5x50 incorporates BaK-4 high resolution phase-coated roof prisms with
silver mirror backing that offers sharp, brighter and abberation free
observations. The binocular is best for out door activities including bird
watching, motor racing and marine sports. Pentax's 7-layer Super Multi-Coating
process applied to every glass surface that offers crisp images. Hybrid
Aspherical lens element that keep edge-to-edge sharpness in any lighting
conditions. Constructed from Magnesium alloy with sticky rubber armoring and
distinctive green and black design gives the binocular an attractive look.
At the magnification of 12.5x the close focusing distance is just 3.5 m that
offers great ease of focusing during observing a moving object. Ample 17mm of
eye relief allows most myopic eyeglass users to see entire image area. The
binocular accepts optional tripod adapter for great extended viewing sessions.
Twist-up eyecups with four click-stop positions accommodates every eye socket
and glasses combination imaginable. Pentax 12.5x50 are rated JIS Class 6 making
them 100% waterproof to remain dry on immersion in water up to 1m depth.

I purchased these PENTAX binoculars from Microglobe as they are Japanese made and I was impressed with the high quality lenses. They really do have edge to edge sharpness with excellent clarity. We do a lot of our Birdwatching on large reservoirs and estuaries and it is why I chose the 12.5 x 50 magnification because of the amount of distance viewing that we encounter.
I have dealt with Microglobe for binoculars on previous occasions. They always give excellent service and speedy delivery. I would recommend them to everyone.
Very pleased with my purchase and the prompt delivery. This particular model is not in the current Pentax "line up" and I just wondered how old the stock was.
The box looked as though it had been moved on the shelf many many times! However what matters is that the contents were perfect and for the money I would
certainly recommend them.
