About Pentax Binoculars:
All of the binocular products from Pentax are made with the highest quality
optics and mechanics. They're very serious when it comes to the quality of their
products, including safety, and work toward meeting all the required standards.
There are approximately 45 types and models of binoculars available from
Pentax,
grouped into either the compact and full size category. Pentax binoculars have
various levels of magnification available. Their Papilio series has a
magnification of 6.5X, but other magnifications available on other binoculars
are 7X, 8X, 8.5X, 9X, 10X, 12X, and 12.5X. Few binoculars are higher in
magnification. Pentax offers a fairly standard range when it comes to the
objective lenses of all their binoculars. The average objective lens size of
them all falls around the middle of the 17 to 60 range. With all of Pentax's
binoculars, you'll get just over 100 ft. of view at 1000 yd. with their highest
F.O.V. reaching over 400 yd. at the same distance.
Some standard features
are added to the selected models like,
multicoating the lens elements that ensures the maximum light transmission
through them; high performance glass
Bak-4 type for good color reproduction and lesser aberrations; and
waterproof and fog free design.

I had tried the Pentax ED before so I knew what I was buying. I received the product in prefect conditions in its original an unopened box.
The product was dispatched almost immediately receiving it the next morning....Great!

Pentax DCF ED 8x43 binoculars were much better than i expected. I also have the Nikon EDs, and the Pentax are in my opinion just as good - if not better. Great design and crystal clear optics. Perfect weight makes them easy to hold for prolonged period. Nice case also supplied with them.
Purchased the binoculars from Microglobe because of previous experience with them. Excellent professional and courteous service with next day delivery. Best prices on the net from Microglobe.

I am very pleased with the Pentax DCF EDs. They are very solidly built and have a quality feel. Quite heavy but in a good way, and easy to hold and balance.
Optics are top-notch. I tried several top EU manufacturers binos as part of the buying process and could not find any quality gap between these and the Pentax EDs. I think they are only less expensive than Zeiss/Leica/Swaro etc because the Pentax brand is less well-known/prestigious; however, I have several Pentax cameras and lenses which are top class products so I have trust in the the brand quality.
Microglobe provided a quick service with no issues.
