The binocular can be folded and easily fits in the pocket due to its dual axis and compact design. Eye pieces are helicoids in construction and offers great images especially of close up views. Roof type prisms are employed for high performance and slimmer build.

Pentax 8x25 Binocular is weather proof and Japan Industrial Standards (JIS) for water resistance rates it JIS-4, that is, Splashing water from any direction shall have no harmful effect (Splash resistant). This property extends its usage for marine and extreme weather usage. Higher resolution is obtained from its super reflective coating and phase coating of the prisms that ensures flare control and maximum transmission of light. Larger field of view benefits the viewers to view moving objects and large landscapes. Higher eye relief enables spectacle viewers to view the full field.     I have had a Nikon Sport Lite 10x25 for a number of years as well as other full size binos used for Birdwatching. This Pentax is so much better! For a start it has proper twist up eye reliefs unlike the Nikons rubber version . The eyepiece lenses are appreciably larger on the Pentax and the overall image quality edge to edge is far superior. This Pentax looks and works like a full-size binocular. One or two slight niggles. The strap is a bit minimalistic and the way it is fixed to the body means that when round your neck it gets a bit tangled up when lifting the bino to the eyes. The rubbery bits feel a bit odd and seems to attract bits of fluff etc?

    Overall I am very pleased with this product. It is the first small size binocular I have owned at least 5 over the years that looks good works well and gives as much pleasure to use as my £700 Nikon 8 bys.
