Pentax SDM DA* 60-250mm f/4 ED Autofocus Telephoto Zoom Lens: High-performance super telephoto zoom lens that is specifically designed for Pentax digital cameras and compatible with Pentax APS-C DSLRs cameras. The lens offers constant f/4.0 aperture throughout zoom range that gives professional results for many of life's sporting, action, and wildlife opportunities. Conventional AF drive built into body provides body-driven AF for older Pentax digital SLRs. 15-element optical formula features a pair of ED Extra-Low Dispersion glass elements greatly reduce any effects of chromatic aberration. Speedy SDM autofocus motor is incorporated that provides fast, silent response with Quick-Shift full-time manual override. This allows the lens to move incredibly quickly with manual focus override capacity with no buttons to switch. Pentax's unique SP water and dirt-repelling coating is applied on both external surfaces. Dust and weather sealing to go along with the improvements in coating technology to repel moisture and debris from the glass. 9-Bladed aperture diaphragm provides blurring effect of out of focus area. Rigid, detachable tripod collar is incorporated that provide stable and hand free long session shooting while mounted on tripod, that can be exchanged between horizontal and vertical composition by rotating camera within tripod collar. Dedicated hood with removable window facilitates easily adjust a polarizer's position. Supplied with rare and front lens caps, lens hood and lens case for maximum protection to the lens when not in use or during transportation.
